Annie Patience??This photo was sent to my Grandparents William MacLeman and Jane (nee Jack) in Australia. On the back it says 'Annie with my wee dog (Sheenak) taken last summer. I think it is my Grandad's cousin Annie Patience but all the photos I have seen of her are when she was older so would appreciate if anyone can tell me if it is.

Hi Danny
Thank you so much for telling me that. We are related then which is great. It is lovely you remembered the little dog. My Grandad was brought up at 9 Shore Street by his grandparents Simon and Isabella Jack and their daughter Helen who was Annie and Maggie's Mum helped look after him after his Mum died.
I have saved a lot of lovely letters that Annie wrote to my Grandparents and my Mum on her Braille typewriter.
I hope you are having a lovely Christmas.

This is indeed Annie Patience, sister to Maggie and they lived at 9 Shore Street. I remember the dog when I was a young boy (1954), about 5, 6 years old when we lived with Maggie and my Grandmother in the village. Annie worked in Edinburgh and always came home for her holidays, Annie and Maggie were my Aunts
