This is the Boy Jim in the early 1950s, being repainted prior to sale. L-R: Willie Reid, next to Willie is the boat owner Mr Ross (what was his first name?), Lewis Patience doing the painting, and in the wheelhouse Willie Reid and Sanders Ross.

Would this be the boat that was originally owned by James McIntosh . His son James bought his father a boat before he left for Canada in 1911. It was called the Boy Jim.

No the boat Sandy Oney had was scaffie of about 32 ft.I remember her lying in the harbour before the 1939-45 war.I cant remember her fishing.The byname was honey,theAchie dialect dropped the h making it ONEY
