'Avoch' in Yarraville Australia

My Grandparents Jane (Jean) MacLeman (nee Jack) and William MacLeman named their home in Yarraville Australia 'Avoch' in memory of their home village.
The brass name plate by the front door was always kept lovingly polished.

Fascinating. My mother Anita Russell (nee Jack), named our family property, in Coonabarabran, "Avoch" as well.

Hi Ken, I wonder if we are related. What was your Dad's name? When my Grandad's father Donald remarried after Grandad's Mum died in 1895 he married her cousin Annie Jack. They had a daughter Ann who later had Russell as her married name. I only recently was told that one of Ann Russell's children called Lewis who I think was born in 1941 came to live in Australia but has since passed away. It is a small world so we could be related.
