New PictureHere's the brass bell from the AMMV Seamoor, dated 1961, which I *believe* has associations with the Avoch region, since I found mention of it in a post. May be of interest to someone? (I'd love to know what AMMV stands for.)

If you haven't already found it AMMV means Admiralty Motor Minesweeping vessel, although they were also some purpose built minesweepers built at Wivenhoe and in the USA known as MMS, for instance MMS 1039 on which my father served, nicknamed "Mickey Mousers" I suspect the AMMV was a requisitioned motor vessel.
