The Blossom - INS.241The Blossom was built in Avoch at Danny Ralph's yard near the Henrietta Bridge in 1929.
She was particularly successful at the Kessock herring... she had a shallow draft and could go where the bigger craft could not.

Standing tall is William Patience, known in the village as Wulla Ounclky.
It is difficult to imagine how these fishermen on the Scaffies, so exposed without a wheel-house would brave the elements, some venturing far North, into and through the Pentland Firth.
